Do these scripts run on Windows NT servers?
Our scripts have been successfully tested using the NT version
of Apache and IIS. The most important part is that you need
to have MySQL 4.0.18 or greater and PHP 4.3.3 or greater installed.
Do you offer discounts for non
profit sites or in exchange for advertising?
No, we do not offer such discounts.
Can I remove the "Powered by"
copyright text?
You cannot do so purchasing a "normal" license,
but if you really need to get rid of the links you can purchase
a special link-free license for additional $70.00.
You say that wildcarded DNS is
required - what's that?
A "normal" DNS entry looks like this: "www.yourdomain.com.
IN A 127.0.0.1"
A wildcarded DNS entry looks like this: "*.yourdomain.com.
IN A 127.0.0.1"
This is possible no matter if you are on a shared IP or not.
If you are using an Apache webserver, it's most likely required
to add a "ServerAlias" to the apache config-file.
This has to look like this: "ServerAlias *.yourdomain.com"
Most hosting companies set these wildcards if you ask them
to do so. But you should better ask your host before you buy
the script if they are going to make the required changes.
By the way: in most cases you can test if your domain is
already wildcarded by going to www.TEST.yourdomain.com
If you don't get a standard "server not found" message
of your browser it's most likely already wildcarded.
Does iRedirector work with domains
like .co.uk or .co.kr?
iRedirector is not limited to .com, .net, and .org! Basically
there is no limitation at all - the script can handle .nu,
.cx, .co.uk, .tj, .ca, .us, or any other country specific
domain.
How much webspace do I need?
The script itself needs only about 200 KB. A database with
about 5000 members should be about 5 or 6 mb big - so you
can calculate about 1 or 2 KB per member!
